Celebrities that Have Aged Gracefully

Hollywood is admittedly obsessed with youth. Millions of dollars are spent on treatments and methods to look youthful and attractive. However, there are also celebrities that have aged gracefully — usually with a little help in the form of cosmetic enhancement —and actually look more elegant than when they were younger.

Here, the Burt & Will Plastic Surgery and Laser Centre team shares our picks for celebrities that have aged gracefully, and discusses how they maintain their appearance. You will notice that some of these stunners use natural anti-aging methods, while others have had great plastic surgery.

Halle Berry (48)

Halle seems to get more beautiful and graceful with age — but she works hard for her looks. Her trainer told US Weekly that Halle exercises four times a week for one hour. Also, Halle, who has diabetes, must follow a strict, healthy diet. Though she hasn’t admitted to having any anti-aging cosmetic enhancement, it appears that Halle had rhinoplasty and other procedures at some point in her career.

Julianne Moore (53)

In addition to her expressive face and gorgeous skin, Julianne maintains a healthy attitude about aging. She seems to embrace the aging process as it naturally unfolds, telling The Edit, “I’d like to think that I can age as naturally as possible. I don’t want to come out condemning anything anybody does, because I think that all of those things can contribute to making people feel better about themselves, and that’s great. But I also want to look like myself. I mean, we’re not going to live forever.”

Michelle Pfeiffer (56)

Over the past three decades, Michelle has adjusted many of her lifestyle habits; she went from smoking two packs a day in her 20s to working out five days a week and eating an exclusively vegan diet. But one thing that has stayed the same is Michelle’s striking good looks.
The movie star also shared the best aging advice she ever received with Ladies Home Journal: to throw out her magnifying mirror.

Susan Sarandon (68)

Susan recently played a grandmother for the movie Tammy and, because she naturally looks so much younger, required lots of help (including special wigs and prosthetics) to convincingly play the part.
What helps Susan enjoy an elegant appearance well in her 60’s? Though she has most likely had some anti-aging facial cosmetic enhancement, she is also proactive about staving off the aging process, telling People magazine that eating well and exercising (she boxes!) helps, and that “having an amazing hair and makeup team, that’s really the secret.”

Jane Fonda (77)

At 77 years old, Jane is a head-turner. Her fresh facial appearance and trim figure are the envy of women half her age! Jane is not secretive about her plastic surgery experiences. She has admitted to having procedures such as eyelid lift, neck lift and chin surgery to improve her visage. She is open about her workout routine, saying that she has been excessive about exercise in the past, but strives for moderation.
Jane also shared a surprising bit of advice with People about maintaining her youthful glow. “To stay young at heart, you have to have love in your life. For me, it’s my women friends. They put starch in my spine and make me happy,” she said.

Barbara Walters (85)

A recent retiree, Barbara has sparked debate on how she maintains her impressive looks. While Barbara admitted to her co-hosts of “The View” that she’s had Botox, she hasn’t come clean about having any procedures. Some plastic surgery experts speculate that she’s had upper and lower eyelid surgery and facelift. Whatever her magic formula, the highly accomplished former journalist looks beautiful and elegant.
